![]() ![]() The left port works fine on my unit.Īnd yes, super weak speakers. ![]() Flash drives work at USB 3.0 speeds so it’s having some power issues on the battery. It will either not work or cut out and then work at USB 2.0 speeds. Pros & ConsThe only cons are the touchpad is small (As expected), the battery life isn’t amazing (as expected) the right USB 3.0 port doesn’t seem to like large external spindle hard drivers. The overall build of the tablet is great very good and the type-cover the keycaps have a nice rubberised matte finish with good key feedback. The Teclast X4 does support Type-C PD charging tested and working as well as my external PD battery pack. With only an 11.6″ screen and the SSD slot, they didn’t have a lot of space to work with. The 26.6Wh battery falls well short of the 37Wh battery we typically see in the Gemini Lake laptops. And it runs smooth and as expected for a Celeron N4100 with 8GB of RAM in dual channel.īattery LifeAs for battery life, about 5-6 hours as stated in my video above is a fair good estimate. Teclast has gone with the default 6W TDP probably for the best battery life Vs performance compromise. Thermals I can report are fine, it’s clearly using copper in there to cool the N4100 Gemini Lake SoC and possible thermal pads. Only a few things are missing, battery life exact figure and thermals. ![]() So even though this was just my unboxing and first look it’s pretty much a full review of it as I’ve discovered all the ins and outs to it. Just make sure it’s an M.2 SATA3 spec drive and not NVMe and you’ll be fine. The slot itself surprises with all 2242, 22 sizes possible. A great move I want to see even premium tablets with this, RADBEACON X4 BATTERY LIFE UPGRADEThis new 11.6″ tablet from Teclast is decent and a very good Surface Go alternative with an easy access hatch under the kickstand to upgrade the SSD. Hands-on with the new Teclast X4 an 8GB RAM + Celeron N4100 Windows 10 tablet with a decent type-cover style keyboard and fully laminated keyboard. ![]()
