![]() The complete 3" kit does ride well and is a great system for a DD. SIDETALK TJ INSTALLBut the complete system with install will run $6000. The difference in ride on and off road is dramatic. I will not say that Long arms are not worth the money. Their end bushings are a Chrysler product! Jim Frens was a very smart man! The lower CA's are 1/2" longer than stock. Talk to AEV to see if they still have some of the lower non adj arms. Rubber works just fine on both or at least one side. Don't fall for the special Johnny joints etc. Be sure to use ones that allow replacement end bushings. Any good lower and upper control arms are good. I ran it a while before going to a Long Arm.If you do the 3"SA or a 4.5 " SA you need my brackets. In the front 4.5 springs are good but you could just use 3" springs and JKS Acos adj spacers. use AEV rear spring relocators and 3" springs. I would go to 4.5" if you really want 35's. And I know I'll need to re-gear, install an SYE kit and driveshaft, and I plan on the AEV big brake kit too, but will I need anything else aside from the suspension parts listed above? Plus, I'm worried that 37s will be too much for my D30 front axle.Īs far as looks goes, I'm aiming to keep my Jeep looking like it does now (see below), just with bigger tires and more ground clearance. I see that AEV offers both 3" and 4.5" springs, but I don't see any complete kits/systems available.Įven though I've considered 37s and the HL kit (and still may go that route), I'm also still interested in what it will take to fits 35s (no bl) while retaining my stock body panels. I want to stay with a SA lift because the LA is above my mechanical skill. I guess what I'm looking for is help choosing a new lift kit and/or the separate components needed.īased on what I've read and owner reviews I want to use as much AEV product on this build as possible. are every bit as important as off road performance. Obviously, since I spend more time on road vehicle handling, braking, steering, etc. I drive about 70% street/30%off road and am looking to increase the height of my rig to clear more obstacles off road. My Wrangler rides on 265/75/16 Toyo Open Country M/Ts on 16" AEV Bridger wheels.
